Dental specialists who report prosthodontics as their practice type

As of Oct 21, 2026, 250 of the 1,599 dental specialists across 57 areas have “Practice type (self-reported): Prosthodontics” in their source record.

Records from IDFPR Professional Licensing (data.illinois.gov) do not carry practice type (self-reported), so none of them is on this page. 86 have full profiles on this site; the first 150 of 164 additional records without profiles are listed below.

What the dentist reports to the board as their practice type; it is not a license.

The 86 full profiles are not a sample of all 250. Selection balances geographic coverage and the page cap, prioritizing differentiation-field completeness before source rank (each board's records by its own rule (IDFPR Professional Licensing (data.illinois.gov): specialists whose record holds the most (disciplinary case detail, then the county) first; within each group, the longest-licensed first; TSBDE licensee lists (Dentist.csv): dentists whose record holds the most (a sedation permit, then the county) first; within each group, the longest-licensed first), merged by that rank: records holding more first, then the longer-licensed). Cards and additional-record tables each display their records in source-rank order. Discipline record “TSBDE flags disciplinary action”: 7 of the 86 profiles (8%), against 13 of all 250 (5%).
